The Conners Season 6 Episode 13 Preview — Darlene Deals with an Empty Nest

We’ve always known that Mark Conner-Healy is one of the smartest members to ever come out of the family. However, The Conners Season 6 Episode 13, “Less Money, More Problems,” shows us how determined he is to rise above.

Mark could easily accept community college as his means to a degree and a bright future. However, he’s smart enough and determined enough to make sure the steep price tag of the University of Chicago isn’t what stops him.

It’s a quality in him that he’s inherited from his mom, Aunt Becky, Aunt Jackie, and even Grandma Roseanne. Knowing he’ll stop at nothing means we will get to see him take the world by storm.

Meanwhile, his mom, Darlene, is dealing with the reality that she will soon be an empty-nester. It’s not something she’s had to face head-on despite her kids being of age because there’s always been at least one of them home with her.

Now, she has to look around her and see what her life means if her kids don’t need her as much. It’s a huge adjustment, and Darlene is going to struggle with it.
