Preview — Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 9: Inside (Con)Man
Ellis breaks the rules to help Max, who winds up at a bank robbery, on Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 9, “Inside (Con)Man.”
If the tropes that come with an undercover married couple on Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 8, “Eternal Sunshine of the Therapized Mind,” aren’t enough to make one a fan of whatever is going on between Ellis and Max, the event of the first season’s penultimate episode may be.
Ellis goes against Li’s orders to “not engage” to get to Max (and the other seven hostages) because one of the two armed men has “got a gun to her head.”
While Max tells everyone not to panic, Yates asks the question that looms over every case on Wild Cards: “How do we know she’s not in on this?” “Inside (Con)Man” will likely answer that question, but it’s challenging to imagine Season 1’s penultimate episode ending without a wild card.
Hopefully, it does not leave anyone’s life hanging in the balance.
