It’s the end of a very long, iconic era for the Dick Wolf family. Jack McCoy has been part of our lives for over 400 episodes, but on Law & Order Season 23 Episode 5, “Last Dance,” we say goodbye.
For one last case, McCoy steps in and makes the courtroom his last stand. Especially when the death of a woman in Central Park turns into a political battleground.

Between a street vendor and a tech billionaire, Shaw and Riley feel they have found their man. Unfortunately, things aren’t as clear cut as initially thought, making McCoy’s job that much harder.
No one is ready to see the sunset on Sam Waterston’s time with this show. But, as Jack McCoy can be heard saying in the promo below, “As district attorney, I have tried to act fairly and ethically. It’s been a hell of a ride.”

Episode description: When a woman is found murdered in Central Park, evidence points to two frequent park-goers: a street vendor and a tech billionaire; in the face of extreme political pressure, McCoy takes drastic action to make the case.
