‘Money Heist’ Spinoff Series ‘Berlin’ Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix
The Money Heist spinoff series Berlin has been renewed for Season 2 on Netflix.
Pedro Alonso and the show’s ensemble will reprise their roles in the drama’s second season.
Alonso will return as the titular character Andrés de Fonollosa, who works under the codename Berlin, “with a new heist and more love,” per the streamer.

Berlin Season 2 is set to begin filming in 2025.
Netflix also shared the renewal news with a short video on X (formerly Twitter). “Level two, please. Berlin will be back for a second season!” the post read.
Created by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, Berlin‘s eight-episode debut season premiered in December 2023.
The series takes place many years before Money Heist, following Andrés de Fonollosa and “one of his most extraordinary heists: making jewels worth €44 million disappear like some sort of magic trick. To do it, he’ll enlist the help of one of the three gangs he’s ever stolen with,” per its synopsis.

His entire gang will join Berlin in Season 2.
Among the returning cast members are Michelle Jenner (Isabel), who plays Keila, an expert in electronic engineering; Tristán Ulloa (Fariña), who portrays Damián, a philanthropic professor and Berlin’s confidant; Begoña Vargas (Welcome to Eden) stars as Cameron, a kamikaze who always lives on the edge; Julio Peña Fernández (Through My Window) plays Roi, Berlin’s faithful squire; and Joel Sánchez portrays Bruce, the relentless man of action in the gang.
Berlin became the most-watched series globally and reached the Top 10 in 91 countries during its premiere week in 2023. The action series has amassed 348 million hours viewed and 53 million total views, with Berlin ranking at #9 among the most-watched non-English language series in the history of Netflix.
Álex Pina is an executive producer, showrunner, and writer on the show. Esther Martínez Lobato writes and executive produces.
