81st Annual Golden Globe Awards – Sunday, January 7th

Miss Scarlet and the Duke – Sunday, January 7th
Eliza Scarlet continues to be London’s top female detective as she establishes her own agency. Meanwhile, her growing connection to William runs full speed ahead toward a major decision that will shape the rest of their lives. Miss Scarlet and the Duke premieres Sunday, January 7th at 8/7c on PBS.
Season Description: In Season 4, Eliza is running a London-based detective agency. Things are not going entirely smoothly, although help comes from some familiar sources. Outside work, her relationship with William (The Duke) builds towards a looming decision that will shape both their lives.
The Great North – Sunday, January 7th

To start Season 4 off in the biggest way, Ham needs to find a speech for his public speaking class. And he needs it fast. His family offers to help, mistakenly taking from popular culture in the process. The Great North premieres Sunday, January 7th at 9:30/8:30c on FOX.

Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project – Monday, January 8th
One of America’s greatest living artists and social commentators, Nikki Giovanni, takes from experiences around her to write about important movements in American Civil Rights. This documentary explores how Giovanni’s art has influenced many the world over. Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project premieres Monday, January 8th at 9/8c on HBO.
Documentary Description: This award-winning documentary travels through time and space to reveal the enduring influence of Nikki Giovanni, one of America’s greatest living artists and social commentators. La Brea – Tuesday, January 9th

The third and final season kicks off directly after the dinosaur attack destroys the clearing. The survivors must find a new place to live, and Gavin discovers a clue to Eve’s whereabouts. La Brea premieres Tuesday, January 9th at 9/8c on NBC.
Episode Description: After the clearing’s destroyed in a dinosaur attack, the survivors must find a new home; Gavin discovers a clue about where Eve has been taken, but tracking the lead down results in even more tragic consequences.
Echo – Wednesday, January 10th
Echo returns with her own series, and she’ll face off against Wilson Fisk once again. Echo premieres with all episodes on January 9 on Disney+ and Hulu (until April 9).
Series Description: Marvel Studios presents Echo, spotlighting Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy.
Criminal Record – Wednesday, January 10th

A young detective, at the start of a promising career, and a well-connected, seasoned detective butt heads when an old murder case is brought back into the spotlight due to an anonymous phone call. The two struggle to find common ground and answers in a case thought to have been put to bed. Criminal Record premieres Wednesday, January 10th on Apple TV+.
Series Description: An anonymous phone call draws two brilliant detectives into a confrontation over an old murder case; one is a young woman in the early stages of her career, and the other is a well-connected man determined to protect his legacy.
SkyMed – Thursday, January 11th
The series follows a group of young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances across Canada. Having aired its second season on CBC back in October/November 2023, the season will now be premiering stateside. SkyMed premieres Thursday, January 11th on Paramount+.

Ted – Thursday, January 11th

A prequel to the popular Mark Wahlburg-led films of the same name, this series explores the origins of Ted, the sentient teddy bear. Jumping back in time to 1993, a young John Bennet wishes his bear to life. Ted premieres Thursday, January 11th on Peacock.

Boy Swallows Universe – Thursday, January 11th
Based on the book of the same name, the story follows a young boy and his selectively mute brother as they try to bring their family back together after a drug lord tears it apart. Boy Swallows Universe premieres Thursday, January 11th on Netflix.
Series Description: In a room below his house in 1980s Brisbane, Australia, Eli Bell answers a red telephone and begins a journey that will break his heart before ending it.
Self Reliance – Friday, January 12th

Jake Johnson and Andy Samberg star in this thriller comedy about a man offered a large sum of cash in exchange for playing a dangerous game. None of his family or friends believe him, though, because the hunters sent to attack him can only do so when he’s alone. Self Reliance premieres Friday, January 12th on Hulu.
Movie Description: Tommy receives an invitation to win $1 million by playing a game where he must outwit hunters attempting to kill him. He realises the hunters can only attack him when he’s alone, but none of his friends and family believe the game is real.
For All Mankind – Friday, January 12th
As the season comes to a close, will the Mars initiative team be successful in their quest to alter the path of the meteor? For All Mankind airs Friday, January 12th on Apple TV+.
Series Description: Exploring the possibilities that might exist if the global space race had continued and where humanity would be now.
Bluey – Friday, January 12th
Bluey and Bingo’s stuffed toy receives a special cubby thanks to the two puppies. The second half of Season 3 moves to Disney+, taking the Heeler family on many more excellent adventures. Bluey airs Friday, January 12th on Disney+.
