Preview — Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 1: The Infinity Thief

Have you missed Riverdale‘s Vanessa Morgan and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Giacomo Gianniotti? They’re back and teaming up as a con artist and a cop, respectively, on The CW’s new consultant procedural drama, Wild Cards.

Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 1, “The Infinity Thief,” teams the con, Morgan’s Max, with the cop, Gianniotti’s Cole, to crack a case and catch an elusive thief.

The series premiere on Wednesday, January 17, at 8/7c will also feature a guest appearance from Beverly Hills, 90210‘s Jason Priestly. “The Infinity Theif” also stars Terry Chen, Michael Xavier, Amy Goodmurphy, Fletcher Donovan, and Jonesy.

Wild Cards comes from Blink49 Studios, Front Street Pictures, and Piller/Segan in association with The CW for commissioning broadcaster CBC in Canada. So, The CW and CBC have promo videos that tease what to expect from “The Infinity Thief” and the rest of its first season, including lots of disguises for Max.

Both videos include all the best of the opposites-attract trope with the backdrop of a string of robberies. The banter between Morgan and Gianniotti takes center stage in the promo videos.

For Cole to get promoted from boat duty and Max to stay out of jail for her own crimes, the two characters must work together. To do that, they must eventually learn to trust each other.

Episode description: To regain his detective status, Cole Ellis, a demoted by-the-book cop, is assigned to work with Max Mitchell, a spirited con artist whose charismatic street smarts could help catch an elusive thief.
