Preview — The Irrational Season 1 Episode 8: Scorched Earth

After a long hiatus, The Irrational returns with its first new episode since November. The Irrational Season 1 Episode 8, “Scorched Earth,” is the first of three new episodes leading up to the Season 1 finale.  

The series wastes no time jumping back into the action with a case that involves a burn victim and arson. The case hits a little too close to home for Alec, though. It will force him to confront his own painful past and deal with his lingering trauma.

It will be interesting to see if Alec’s personal connection to the case impacts his objectivity or if it sparks any new memories about the night of the explosion. 

Based on the preview photos, it looks like Alec and Marisa will be working closely to investigate the case. This isn’t something we’ve seen for a while. A lot has changed since the last time we saw them spend a significant amount of time together.

Specifically, both Alec and Marisa have started new romantic relationships even though their connection remains strong. Will that change the dynamic between them at all?

With only four episodes left, we can expect to see bigger developments regarding Alec’s case and hints about the future of Alec and Marisa’s relationship.

Episode description: Alec takes a case involving a young burn victim and arson that forces him to confront some trauma from his past; Phoebe and Rizwan compete for an important research grant.
