Preview — Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 9: Off The Cuff

Previews, Quantum Leap

Quantum Leap moves from its Wednesday time slot to Tuesdays at 10/9c as it returns from its winter hiatus. Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 9, “Off The Cuff,” will take over the spot previously held by Found. It will also kick off the final stretch of Season 2.

On the episode, Ben finds himself in the body of a bounty hunter trying to deliver a wily criminal to authorities. Things quickly go off the rails, though. The pair are forced to hide out as they attempt to evade dangerous people coming for Ben’s charge.

While all of that sounds like a fun case of the week, what viewers are likely most excited about is seeing the fallout from the significant developments on Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 8, “Nomads.”

The first reveal is Addison’s realization that Ben and Hannah keep finding each other on Ben’s leaps because they are in love. There aren’t any photos of Hannah in the preview material, so we don’t know if we will see her on “Off the Cuff.”

But, whether Hannah shows up or not, the growing connection between the two will no doubt be addressed on the episode in some fashion.

Relatedly, and perhaps even more significantly, Addison finds a ring on “Nomads,” realizing that Tom might be thinking of proposing. Before she can ask him about it, though, she is interrupted when Tom delivers the big cliffhanger of “Nomads.” They may have a way to bring Ben home.

Could Ben’s time as a leaper be coming to an end? What does that mean for him and Hannah? Will that throw a wrench in Tom’s potential proposal? How will Addison handle her increasingly complicated relationships with both Tom and Ben?
