Ben seeks answers to his situation with Addison in his new mission on Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 4, “The Lonely Hearts Club.”

Things have been fraught between Ben and Addison since the team reformed, and Addison returned to being Ben’s hologram. Ben hasn’t been handling their new dynamic well. Given the situation, that is understandable.

Unfortunately, as we saw on Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 3, “Closures Encounters,” Ben’s feelings clouded his judgment and endangered the mission.

The pair seemed to make some progress on “Closure Encounters,” though. They had an honest conversation, and Ben acknowledged that he was being unfair to Addison.

However, whatever progress they made on “Closure Encounters” doesn’t look like it was enough to keep Ben focused on the right things.

Now, instead of lashing out at Addison because he’s hurt, he is looking for answers to his problems in the romantic struggles of the famous actor he was sent to save.

Ben can’t seem to get out of his own way. He will have to figure it out, though, if he’s going to survive the missions the accelerator sends him on.
