Preview — Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 7: It’s the End of the World
Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 7, “It’s the End of the World,” changes the trio’s lives forever at a New Year’s Eve party — not only because they’re counting down to Y2K.
A presumed secret conversation becomes public and proves that genuinely knowing someone is more of a challenge than Megan, Luke, and Isabella think.
Also, in Winter 1999, Luke confronts Ned while Megan is present. Because of how Megan and Ned’s dynamic evolves on Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 6, “The Plunge,” it could be that Luke is concerned about their relationship.

That encounter, along with new evidence from Summer 1999, may lead Steve to confront Ned in Summer 2000. Per the promo video, Steve tells Ned, “I know you had something to do with the death of my son,” but Ned is not up for any conversation.
Meanwhile, Brent appears to uncover documents that shock him. Could the show be setting up a similarly scathing reveal as Lisa’s fate on Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 5, “All I Want for Christmas?”
