Preview — Abbott Elementary Season 2 Episode 20: Educator of the Year
After a brief hiatus, Abbott Elementary returns with Abbott Elementary Season 2 Episode 20, “Educator of the Year.”
When we last saw the Abbott crew on Abbott Elementary Season 2 Episode 19, “Festival,” they had successfully stopped Legendary Schools from taking over and turning Abbott into a charter school.
With that crisis averted, life at Abbott returns to normal, which, means all sorts of new drama, excitement, and shenanigans popping up between and during classes.
The big news — as the title suggests — is Gregory being named Educator of the Year. Looking at the preview photos, though, it seems Gregory isn’t the only one receiving an award.
Melissa’s teaching assistant, Ashely, is also getting an award. We haven’t seen Ashely for quite a while, but given Melissa’s rocky start with her, seeing her react to that piece of news should be fun. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to see how their relationship has — or hasn’t — progressed since the last time Ashely showed up.
Elsewhere on the episode, Janine is once again tested by a difficult student. Unfortunately for her, her mentor may not be available to help this time.
That’s because Barbara is dealing with her own professional crisis after discovering she hasn’t completed all her teaching requirements, something it looks like she enlists Jacob to help with.
