Grey’s Anatomy Renewed for Season 20 at ABC
The doors are staying open at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital!
Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for Season 20 by ABC, maintaining its spot as the longest-running medical drama on TV.
Per Variety, series executive producer Meg Marinis will serve as showrunner on Season 20, taking over for Krista Vernoff.

Marinis worked her way up from a writer’s production assistant in Season 3 to an executive producer in Season 15. She also has written more than 25 episodes to date. The most recent episode is Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Episode 2, “Wasn’t Expecting That.”
Vernoff is stepping down as showrunner from the mothership and Station 19 at the end of their respective seasons, as exclusively reported by Deadline.
“It has been the privilege of a lifetime to be entrusted to run Grey’s Anatomy for the past six years and Station 19 for the last four,” Vernoff said in a statement to Deadline.
“The passion of the dedicated fandoms and the impact that these shows have on hearts and minds cannot be overstated. The amount of talent in these two extraordinary casts and these two brilliant writers rooms is beyond measure — and these crews work magic week after week,” Vernoff added.

Though Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for Season 20, its cast won’t look the same when it returns.
Ellen Pompeo, who played Meredith Grey since the ABC show premiered in 2005, made her exit as a series regular on Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Episode 7, “I’ll Follow the Sun.”
As TV Line reports, Grey’s Anatomy Season 19’s cast includes a new class of surgical residents: Niko Terho, Harry Shum Jr., Mirdori Francis, Adelaide Kane, and Alexis Floyd.
Returning regulars include Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Kevin McKidd, Kim Raver, Kelly McCreary, Anthony Hill, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Chris Carmack, and Jake Borelli.

However, as previously reported, Kelly McCreary will exit the series after nine seasons as Maggie Pierce in an episode slated to air in April.
Even as Grey’s Anatomy‘s cast evolves, the medical drama has welcomed back numerous familiar faces this season.
Jesse Williams and Greg Germann reprised their roles of Dr. Jackson Avery and Dr. Tom Koracick on Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Episode 5, “When I Get to the Border.”
Kate Walsh has reprised her role as Addison Montgomery multiple times this season. Most recently, Walsh appeared on Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Episode 11, “Training Day.” With Season 20 confirmed, time will tell who and what awaits the Grey Sloan Memorial staff.

If Grey’s Anatomy is renewed Station 19 should caz ya can’t have one without the other anymore!!!
If Grey’s Anatomy can be renewed, then Station 19 should also. Great actors and storylines. I want Marina back.
I am not a doctor or nurse but I enjoy medical dramas and Shadow of Your Love was an episode where I could learn so many new medical terms.
