New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 12, “Right Place,” and New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 13, “How Can I Help?,” is the end of a once great medical series.
The series finale is sure to be a time for fans to reflect on what made this series so captivating. It will also be a time to reflect on the show’s fall from grace.

After five whole seasons, fans can expect at least a little bit of Max Goodwin’s backstory. This has obviously been a long time coming, and it’s more than a little strange that the show is just now going to delve into why he became a doctor.
Does the show have enough steam to reach the end? Will this show’s legacy be further tarnished, or can fans be satisfied with remembering what was?
With only this two-hour series finale left, New Amsterdam has precious little time to wrap up everyone’s stories. Hopefully, at least some of these characters can ride off into the metaphorical sunset and get some semblance of a happy ending.
Season 5 Episode 12 Description: Max and Wilder face a dilemma over approvals for a revolutionary cancer drug as Max learns a secret about his own bout with cancer; Reynolds goes the extra mile to correct a dire medical situation; Iggy tries desperately to help a woman in need.
Season 5 Episode 13 Description: Everyone’s story reaches a surprising yet inevitable conclusion.
