Blockbuster (Netflix) – November 3

Netflix is queuing up the nostalgia with a new show that follows the owner and staff of the last remaining Blockbuster. Blockbuster premieres on November 3 on Netflix.

Series Description: Timmy Yoon (Randall Park) is an analog dreamer living in a 5G world. And after learning he is operating the last Blockbuster Video in America, Timmy and his staff employees including his long-time crush, Eliza (Melissa Fumero) fight to stay relevant. The only way to succeed is to remind their community that they provide something big corporations can’t: human connection.

Titans Season 4 Part 1 (HBO Max) – November 3

With three new big bads entering the mix, our Titans have their work cut out for them this season. Titans Season 4 Part 1 premieres with two episodes on November 3 on HBO Max with new episodes releasing weekly through December 1. Six additional episodes will drop sometime in 2023.

Season Description: Having saved Gotham, the Titans hit the road to head back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before.

Daniel Radcliffe stars in this biopic that explores Weird Al Yankovic’s professional and personal life. WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story premieres on November 4 on the Roku Channel.

Film Description: The biopic holds nothing back, exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like “Eat It” and “Like a Surgeon” to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle. WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story takes audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic’s life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.

Enola has opened up her own private detective agency, but business is slow going. Her first official case finds her embroiled in a dangerous conspiracy as well as one of her brother’s cases. Enola Holmes 2 premieres on November 4 on Netflix.

Film Description: Now a detective-for-hire like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel.

Mythic Quest Season 3 (Apple TV+) – November 11

Between Ian and Poppy trying to run their own company and David trying to actually be the boss at Mythic Quest, there’s sure to be a lot of chaos and insanity in store for us this season. Mythic Quest Season 3 premieres with two episodes on November 11 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In season three, as Ian and Poppy navigate the gaming world and their partnership at the newly formed GrimPop Studios, Dana is forced to play mediator to her bosses’ incessant bickering. Back at Mythic Quest, David settles into his new role as the boss where he truly finds himself in charge for the first time with Jo returning as his assistant — more loyal and militant than ever; and Carol attempts to figure out where she fits in after a new promotion. At Berkeley, Rachel struggles to balance her morals with capitalism, while a post-prison Brad tries to return to society as a reformed man.

The English (Prime Video) – November 11

This western tells the story of two unlikely allies out to get their revenge against those who’ve wronged them. The English debuts with all six episodes on November 11 on Prime Video.

Series Description: An aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke, and a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout, Eli Whipp, come together in 1890 middle America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. Both of them have a clear sense of their destiny, but neither is aware that it is rooted in a shared past. They must face increasingly terrifying obstacles that will test them to their limits, physically and psychologically. But as each obstacle is overcome, it draws them closer to their ultimate destination — the new town of Hoxem, Wyoming. Scott Calvin is back and looking for a successor as he’s ready to step down as Santa. The Santa Clauses premieres with two episodes on November 16 on Disney+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Scott Calvin is back! After being Santa Claus for nearly thirty years, he’s as jolly as ever. But as Christmas declines in popularity, so does his Santa magic. Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family. Upon discovering there is a way to retire from his post, Scott considers stepping down as Santa Claus and finding a worthy successor so that he can become a better father and husband.

Fall break is over, and it’s time to return to Essex College. The Sex Lives of College Girls premieres with two episodes on November 17 on HBO Max with two new episodes being released weekly.

Season Description: The new season picks up with the students returning after their Fall break, tackling the challenges thrown their way at the end of season one, and facing their next semester filled with new faces, parties and predicaments.

From the creators of Dark comes a new, twisty series set in 1899 aboard a migrant ship that goes on an unexpected journey. 1899 premieres on November 17 on Netflix.

Series Description: 1899. A migrant steamship heads west to leave the old continent. The passengers, a mixed bag of European origins, united by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad. But their journey takes an unexpected turn when they discover another migrant ship adrift on open sea. What they will find on board, will turn their passage to the promised land into a horrifying nightmare.

Spirited (Apple TV+) – November 18

It’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit. Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are bringing us a new take on a holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. Spirited debuts on November 18 on Apple TV+.

Film Description: Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. For the first time, A Christmas Carol is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.

There’s nothing quite like a wedding to stir up old family secrets. The People We Hate at the Wedding debuts on November 18 on Prime Video.

Film Description: The film follows struggling American siblings Alice and Paul, who reluctantly agree to attend the wedding of their estranged, wealthy half-sister in the English countryside alondside their mother, Donna. Over the course of the wedding week, the family’s many skeletons are wrenched from the closet, and the unlikely reunion gives everyone the motivation to move their own lives forward. A modern wedding comedy for anyone with a slightly dysfunctional family (everyone), or anyone who’s been forced to attend a wedding they tried to avoid (also everyone).

This Hulu series gives us a closer look at how an Indian immigrant founded the world’s biggest male-stripper enterprise. Welcome to Chippendales premieres with two episodes on November 22 on Hulu with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: A sprawling true-crime saga, Welcome to Chippendales tells the outrageous story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire — and let nothing stand in his way in the process.

Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin (Peacock) – November 23

Peacock is allowing us to check back in with Bumper as he tries to revive his music career. Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin debuts on Peacock on November 23.

Series Description: In the new series for Peacock, several years after we last saw him in Pitch Perfect, Adam Devine’s Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes big in Berlin.

Wednesday (Netflix) – November 23

Wednesday Addams has a lot on her plate while attending Nevermore Academy. Between trying to master her abilities and settling into Nevermore, she’s also has to stop a killing spree and solve a mystery or two. Wednesday premieres on November 23 on Netflix.

Series Description: The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

Disenchanted (Disney+) – November 24

It’s time to check back in with Giselle and Robert and see how their happily ever turned out. Disenchanted premieres on November 24 on Disney+.

Film Description: It has been more than 10 years since Giselle and Robert wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life. Unfortunately, it isn’t the quick fix she had hoped for. Suburbia has a whole new set of rules and a local queen bee, Malvina Monroe, who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever.
