Preview — Law & Order/Law & Order: SVU/Law & Order: Organized Crime Crossover: “Gimme Shelter: Parts One, Two, and Three”

The Law & Order universe is back in action on Thursday, September 22nd with a huge three-part crossover. It’s a feat not seen before in this Dick Wolf universe but one not too unfamiliar for those who follow the prolific creator — Wolf does crossover events frequently for his One Chicago franchise.

It all starts with Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 1, “Gimme Shelter: Part One.” Then moves into Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 24 Episode 1, “Gimme Shelter: Part Two,” and concludes with Law & Order Season 22 Episode 1, “Gimme Shelter: Part Three.”

This three-part story follows the murder of a young girl which brings in both Detective Elliot Stabler’s team and Captain Olivia Benson’s squad once the case reveals itself to be more. The story concludes with a trial where Jack McCoy’s team take the lead.

Gimme Shelter: Part One: Cosgrove teams with Detective Jalen Shaw to track down a young girl’s killer.

Gimme Shelter: Part Two: Benson and Stabler assist in the case of a young girl’s shooting and realize it’s more than a typical homicide.

Gimmer Shelter: Part Three: After uncovering key evidence, McCoy and Price seek justice against an international crime ring, but complications threaten the outcome of their case.
