Preview — Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 Episode 5: Cession in Session
Hearst is bringing the fight to the Cession on Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 Episode 5, “Cession in Session.”
When the Council of the Great River assembles to decide the Unit’s fate, Hearst takes the opportunity to make his next move.
On last week’s episode, we got a small glimpse at the stolen voicebox Hearst is using as he adjusted to it. Now, we’re about to see it in action. And based on the promo video, he’s going to put up quite the fight.

The most exciting factor of the situation is the face-off between Alder and Hearst that we see previewed in the promo. We’ve yet to see Alder use her work this season, and with the mycelium being her driving force, to say I’m excited is an understatement.
Aside from the epic showdown that’s bound to occur, Anacostia and Sterling’s fates are still up in the air, and we need answers. It’s unlikely we’ll see Anacostia die, especially this early, but it would fit the narrative for Sterling to bite the bullet.
Sterling’s death would be unfortunate but also a pivotal moment in Anacostia’s life. It would essentially fuel the fire within her and push her storyline for the season in a different trajectory.
We don’t want to see Sterling die, but with it being the last season, deaths are inescapable.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Council of the Great River responds to Hearst and what the outcome of Anacostia and Sterling’s predicament will be.

Episode description:
The Council of the Great River convenes to hear the Unit’s testimony and decide whether to extradite them back to the U.S. Abigail attempts to convey the dangers of the Camarilla’s influence, and Tally ponders if the future is written in stone.
