Girls5Eva Review: Tour Mode (Season 2 Episode 8)
Girls5Eva ends the season with even more “B.P.E.”
Girls5Eva Season 2 Episode 8, “Tour Mode” proves that sometimes you really can have it all. Each member of Girls5Eva manages to go on tour while not having to worry about their lives back at home.
“Tour Mode” is one of the funniest episodes of the season as everything becomes bigger and bolder— including Wickie’s wig changes. It fully embraces the crazy on this episode.

One of the best scenes from this episode is when Gloria fights Property Brother Drew Scott. It’s exciting, wacky, and the kind of nonsense that we love about Girls5Eva.
It’s hard to imagine that anyone could not laugh when Jonathan Scott creepily whispers for Gloria to kill his brother, please. This is the dark humor that’s just wonderful to see on the show.
Another highlight from “Tour Mode” is the spiritual sequel to “New York Lonely Boy,” “New York City Moms.” It’s an oddly empowering song sung by the great Ingrid Michaelson.
So many women believe that 35 is the end of hope for having a child, but the show makes reaching that age childless feel not as daunting.

Oddly empowering is the phrase that could basically sum up the entire Girls5Eva series, especially this season.
Each episode has been hilarious with the empowering message that dreams don’t have to end at a certain age. It also showcases the mistreatment of women in the music industry (and in many others) but also highlights them taking back their power.
That’s what makes “B.P.E” such a great anthem. The song returns to end the season, but “Bend Not Break” also gets its moment to shine in “Tour Mode.”
It’s probably the least silly of the Girls5Eva Season 2 songs, which makes it the most commercial. It would be great to hear any of the recent songs on the radio.

This episode also has the most callbacks to previous episodes. We have the “New York Lonely Boy” reference, Wickie’s ugly foot making an appearance, and even the return of Percy as their new bus driver.
We even get an update on Summer’s parents. They’re somewhere sinning. as expected.
All these references felt like a way to end Girls5Eva on a high if it isn’t picked up for another season. The series’s future is still up in the air, but if it’s the end, “Tour Mode” is a great finale episode.
However, we would love to see more because there is so much potential with the band on tour, especially with Wickie in a relationship, Dawn being pregnant, Gloria single, and Summer trying to allow Kev to be an actual parent.

Each of those situations could be very interesting and funny, but we know there would be even more fun stuff to come.
Regardless, “Tour Mode” is a very entertaining conclusion to a great season.
Other Thoughts
- Got to admire Lil Stinker aka Bootsy Tings work ethic. Can’t be easy to completely take on a new identity,
- The reality star cameos have been so funny this season, especially with them just leaning into the ridiculousness of their on-screen personas
- The Lunch Lord and Wickie’s romance came at the end of the season, but now I am completely invested.
- Tate has some of his funniest moments on this episode, and we got a lot of potentially dark reveals about him.
- The Girls5Eva Season 2 album is now available to stream, so “B.P.E” will be on constant rotation.
