It’s time to bid adieu to Dory and friends. The final season of Search Party premieres on HBO Max on January 7 with all ten episodes available to stream.

Season Description: In the new season, Dory (Alia Shawkat) enters a very public business partnership with charismatic tech billionaire Tunnel Quinn (Jeff Goldblum) on the other side of her near-death experience. Dory folds her old friends Portia (Meredith Hagner), Elliott (John Early) and Drew (John Reynolds) into the venture as they embark on an altruistic but terrifying journey. 

Peacemaker (HBO Max) – January 13

HBO Max is giving Peacemaker an origin story. Peacemaker premieres on January 13 on HBO Max.

Series DescriptionPeacemaker will explore the origins of the character that John Cena first portrayed in James Gunn’s 2021 film, The Suicide Squad — a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.

Sex Appeal (Hulu) – January 14

Avery sets out to learn all she can about sex after her boyfriend suggests taking their relationship to the next level. Sex Appeal debuts on Hulu on January 14.

Film Description: Avery Hansen-White doesn’t do things she isn’t excellent at. So when her long-distance boyfriend hints at wanting to take their relationship to the next level, she sets out to master her sexuality, employing her oldest friend, Larson, as a test subject. In this hilarious teen comedy, Avery’s study results in the realization that there’s more to sex, and love, than mechanics. Relationships require both head and heart.

The Tragedy of Macbeth (Apple TV+) – January 14

Apple TV+ is adapting a Shakespearean classic with Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, respectively. The Tragedy of Macbeth premieres on January 14 on Apple TV+.

Film Description: Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand star in Joel Coen’s bold and fierce adaptation; a tale of murder, madness, ambition and wrathful cunning.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (Prime Video) – January 14

The latest installment in the Hotel Transylvania film series finds Johnny becoming a monster, and Drac becoming… human?! Hotel Transylvania: Transformania debuts on Prime Video on January 14.

Film Description: When Van Helsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) mysterious invention, the ‘Monsterification Ray,’ goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny (Andy Samberg) becomes a monster! When Dan Turner begins restoring damaged videotapes from the early ’90s, he becomes obsessed with one woman’s investigation into a cult. Archive 81 premieres on Netflix on January 14.

Series DescriptionArchive 81 follows archivist Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie), who takes a job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994. Reconstructing the work of a documentary filmmaker named Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi), he is drawn into her investigation of a dangerous cult at the Visser apartment building. As the season unfolds across these two timelines, Dan slowly finds himself obsessed with uncovering what happened to Melody. When the two characters form a mysterious connection, Dan becomes convinced he can save her from the terrifying end she met 25 years ago.

Who doesn’t love a good romcom involving royalty? The Royal Treatment debuts on January 20 on Netflix.

As We See It (Prime Video) – January 21

From the mind of Jason Katims comes a new series that follows the lives of three twenty-something roommates who all fall on the autism spectrum. As We See It premieres on January 21 on Prime Video.

Series Description: As We See It follows Jack (Rick Glassman), Harrison (Albert Rutecki), and Violet (Sue Ann Pien), twentysomething roommates on the autism spectrum, as they strive to get and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that eludes them. With the help of their families, aide, and sometimes even each other, these roommates experience setbacks and celebrate triumphs on their own unique journeys towards independence and acceptance. Series stars Glassman, Rutecki, and Pien all identify as living on the autism spectrum.

Ozark Season 4 Part 1 (Netflix) – January 21

Netflix is breaking up Ozark‘s super-sized final season into two parts. Ozark Season 4 Part 1 premiers on Netflix on January 21 with 7 episodes and the remaining 7 episodes will be released at a later date.

Series DescriptionOzark is a thrilling drama set in the present-day and follows the Byrde family’s journey from their normal, suburban Chicago life to their dangerous criminal enterprise in the Ozarks, Missouri. Servant Season 3 (Apple TV+) – January 21

Don’t the Turners know that even wishes can be dangerous? Servant premieres on Apple TV+ on January 21 with new episodes releasing weekly. And have no fear, Apple TV+ has already renewed Servant for a fourth and final season.

Series Description: From M. Night Shyamalan, Servant follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.

How I Met Your Father (Hulu) – January 22

Meet Sophie and her group of friends as she tells us (and her son) the story of how she met her son’s father. How I Met Your Father premieres on January 22 on Hulu.

A murder occurred during a high school reunion. As you listen to everyone’s accounts of that night, will you be able to solve the case and identify the murderer? The Afterparty premieres with three episodes on January 28 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: The Afterparty centers on a murder mystery at a high school reunion. Each of the eight episodes features a retelling of the same night told through a different character’s perspective, each with its own unique visual style and film genre to match the teller’s personality
