Just when it feels like NCIS: LA is getting back to basics, it appears the team still isn’t done chasing down Katya.
We’re all for continuing storylines, but eventually those arcs have to end, so new ones can begin. Katya’s obsession with Anna, and everyone else’s obsession with catching Katya sped past interesting several seasons ago.
And while we’re at it, let’s wrap up this whole Kessler stuff, because it’s uncomfortable in a creepy way, not the suspenseful way we assume the show is going for.
One of the bright spots this season is the way the partners have been mixed up. Yes, the core four still do their best work together, but it’s also cool to see them occasionally split up and mentor Fatima and Roundtree.

Episode description: As Callen continues hunting Katya, Kilbride enlists NCIS to help find a truckload of stolen guns. The assignment becomes more challenging when their suspect, the son of a mob boss they believe was planning to sell them, is found dead.
