Preview — Day of the Dead Season 1 Episode 2: Chum
Lauren and Cam attempt to figure out their following plans on Day of the Dead Season 1 Episode 2, “Chum.”
On Day of the Dead Season 1 Episode 1, “The Thing in the Hole,” the town of Mawinhaken sees the beginning of its downfall. The dead slowly begin to rise from the local cemetery after a fracking incident not too far away in town.
Cam and Lauren are the first to see the beginnings of the outbreak while on the job at the cemetery and funeral home. Their unfortunate run-in with the undead ends with them trapped in the basement of the funeral home, trying to figure a way out.
If Lauren, Cam, and the small group trapped want to get out alive, they’ll have to fight for their lives.
Meanwhile, Detective McDermott, Cam’s father, has his own incident with the undead while investigating a crime scene. The audience knows that McDermott ends up as a zombie, but the question is how?
A bite from a zombie in the Day of the Dead universe does not mean infection or death. So, what is the magical reason for the detectives turning?

Episode description:
Trapped in the basement of the morgue, Cam and Lauren strategize their escape from the dead. While Mayor Bowman panics about the election, Trey makes a grave mistake. The mysterious Dr. Logan arrives to rescue McDermott.
