Preview — 9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 5: Peer Pressure
The aftermath of Chim’s shocking departure is going to shake things up at the 118 for a few weeks to come. This is why on 9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 5, “Peer Pressure,” the team is struggling to get through each emergency with their new partners.
While Hen and Eddie have worked together before, it’s never been a more permanent thing. They struggle to find their new balance. Meanwhile, Buck is getting a taste of his own medicine having been partnered with the probie, Ravi.
The struggles in the Grant family continue as Athena tries to stay above the water with her own trauma and handle Harry’s anger all at once. With Harry’s anger comes a new level of defiance that Athena and Michael have never seen before and now have to contend with.
Elsewhere, May continues to try doing her job to the best of her ability all while fielding crap from Claudette. Hopefully, May will be able to ignore her new co-worker when a desperate teen calls her for comfort and reassurance.

Episode description: The members of the 118 face an awkward rescue call when they arrive on the scene of a man who has over-exerted himself exercising. The team must also save the life of a groundskeeper whose chainsaw cut into him and race to an explosion at a retirement community. Meanwhile, Athena has an extreme reaction to Harry’s new behavior. Then, Hen and Eddie, as well as Buck and Ravi, have rocky starts to their new partnerships, and May receives an emergency call from a suicidal teen while continuing her uneasy work relationship with Claudette.
