Currently in its 10th season, NBC’s Chicago Fire will hit a major milestone with its 200th episode on Wednesday, October 20th. The episode is appropriately titled “Two Hundred.”
“It’s been an amazing run,” Executive Producer Derek Haas said in a statement. “And then to think that two other shows came out of it, and they’re all perfectly integrated — it’s been amazing.”
“I’m most proud of the fact that we’re 200 episodes in, and at no time has it felt stale,” Haas continued. “Because when you have this cast and this crew and this writing staff putting shows together, it feels like it’s an unlimited amount of storytelling, and I’m just so humbled by watching great people do what they love. At the very beginning, Dick Wolf said if you achieve the hopes and dreams then you’re going to have whole second generations of people working on this show. And we’ve already seen it.”
Cast and crew recently celebrated the milestone 200th episode on set. That celebration included an elaborate fire-themed cake, complete with helmet and firehose, as well as an appearance by Executive Producer Dick Wolf.
