Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail Season Finale Review: Oregon (Season 3 Episode 10)
This series always has a way of bringing everything full circle by the season’s end. Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail Season 3 Episode 10, “Oregon,” is no different.
While the episode as a whole is chaotic and a bit thrown together, there is serenity in everything coming together beautifully by the end. Also, chaos and ruggedness are part of the whole charm that is Miracle Workers — the journey doesn’t always make sense, but the end result is a thing to behold.
Going into the finale episode, viewers know there are many questions that still need answers. “Oregon” does its best to answer all of them in a way that is both funny and satisfactory.

The one gripe that we’ve had all season is the dismissiveness of Zeke’s marriage to Phaedra and how that will play out against his love for Prudence. Unfortunately, if this finale has one downside it is this storyline.
There is no real satisfactory conclusion to this story at all. Zeke ends up staying in Oregon with Prudence — who has just killed Todd. However, this leaves Zeke and Phaedra’s marriage in question, which isn’t answered by her running off to Florida with Granny.
What about her marriage to Zeke? Is that just a figment of our imaginations this whole time? Why is Zeke acting as though her walking away is the same thing as a divorce?
It’s frustrating to say the least, especially if you are someone who thinks beyond the lines of the show. Zeke and Prudence will want to have a lawful relationship in the eyes of God, but that isn’t possible if he is still married to Phaedra.

Maybe, I am just thinking way too critically about this, but it’s a dropped concept that really affects how I look at this finale overall.
Despite this hiccup, the final episode of this season doesn’t disappoint with regards to hijinks and hilarity. After all, this is the moment we get to see Daniel Radcliffe once again don an outfit that is somewhat revealing and do a ridiculous dance.
Only this time he is demonstrating the cardinal sins in order to distract Todd enough to steal his wife. While the whole sexy talk while awkwardly moving his body is definitely a Zeke highlight, the best part is most certainly his bronzer — it’s the showstopper.
It’s so ridiculously lathered on him that his whole body looks to be golden. It’s a sight that can’t be taken seriously — and shouldn’t. One of the things we love about Miracle Workers is its ability to take a mundane situation and drag it over the top in the most outlandish of ways.

One of this season’s biggest success stories is the parallel growth journeys for both Benny and Zeke. It’s on the level where we as viewers feel ever so proud of them for accomplishing what they have.
Benny is now a man who realizes what a great thing it is to step aside and shower someone else with praise and love. He’s learned how to be a little more selfless and in tune with his heart.
Meanwhile, his buddy Zeke has learned, the hard way, that sometimes life isn’t going to go according to plan and that God won’t “hate” you if you veer a bit from his beliefs. Zeke also learned to listen to his heart — his actual heart — a bit more and follow it even if the path wasn’t in line with his beliefs.
Honestly, of the three seasons we have had of Miracle Workers so far, this season is the one that really nails what it means to be our truest selves the best. It’s what makes this season stand out from the rest.
Zeke: I think we are better off just appreciating what we have and working to make it a little bit better.
Zeke’s final words to Benny are a testament to this message and are worth remembering beyond the finale. It’s one of those moments that the characters are speaking truth to each other but it transcends into our lives as viewers.

I was struck by the excerpt from Verdi’s “La forza del destino” in this episode. The review seems needlessly fastidious, as about the marriage of Zeke and Phaedra. So they split without the nicety of a divorce. This is a wacked out comedy! If we were to quibble about everything, we would never enjoy the show.
