With Edge still missing after embodying a world-ending weapon, the residents of Smallville demand answers on Superman & Lois Season 1 Episode 14, “The Eradicator.”
The residents gather at the high school for what appears to evolve from a press conference into a protest. There’s no telling if Sam Lane will share anything more than he already has with Smallville.
General Sam Lane is someone who seems to be immune to a similar moral dilemma that Lois is facing. Lois and Sam have been battling all season long about whether secrets or the truth are more effective in protecting not only their family but also the rest of Smallville.
This is an argument that will surely persist as long as these two characters exist. As for the situation with Edge, no time is better than the penultimate episode of the season for this round of their debate to reach a fever pitch.
That said, there is some sense of optimism to cling to since it looks like Lois is on the panel and Chrissy is in the audience. There’s also sure to be a few moments of levity since Lois is concerned about Jordan as he and Sarah grow closer. “The talk” is already awkward enough, and now Lois has to add suppressing superpowers to the mix.
Though, the irony of all of this is that in the promo video Lois says, “There’s a bigger picture we’re not seeing.” The same can be said about both the photos and the promo video below. Superman & Lois is keeping something from us, something tragic.
Why else would there be a shot of Clark and Lois holding each other, completely distraught in the promo video?
