This is no time for mourning! Brooklyn Nine-Nine is back from an excruciatingly long hiatus and traumatic re-cancelation with a double dose of workplace chaos.
The legendary comedy kicks off its season premiere (for those still deeply in denial) in style. Indeed, indeed, indeed, Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Episodes 1 and 2, “The Good Ones,” and “The Lake House,” look to get the squad back out into the field with some oh-so classy shenanigans.
“The Good Ones” features Amy’s return to the 99th precinct, after giving birth to the greatest baby/genius. But it’s hardly business as usual for the new parents. Not only are Jake and Amy raising their son together as full-time working parents, but they’re raising him in a global pandemic.
Yes, the series is already hinting at how it will tackle the harsher realities of the pandemic as Jake and Charles find socially distanced-approved ways to high-five after a joke.
“The Lake House,” looks to get Brooklyn Nine-Nine out of the office with a cabin getaway episode that will have the squad’s wacky off-hour dynamics on full display for our enjoyment.
We may not have six-drink Amy to entertain us this time, but we do have smiley Rosa and Kevin in a turtle neck — so things are sure to get crazy.
Rejoice because it’s finally time for the NINE-NINE to get back to work.
