Loki Sneak Peek: Can Loki Talk His Way Out of the TVA?
Can Loki convince the Time Variance Authority of his innocence?
In the first sneak peek of Loki Season 1 Episode 1, the God of Mischief stands trial before the time-keepers, and Judge Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, for disrupting the original timeline and escaping the Avengers clutches with the Tesseract.
The TVA has since caught up to him and with nowhere to run, Loki is forced to face the consequences of his escape as a variant displaced in time.

When Judge Renslayer asks him how he pleads to the charges, Loki is not amused and reminds the court who they are addressing. “Madam, a god doesn’t plead.”
Unfortunately for Loki, the time-keepers’ authority is beyond the reach of the gods and Renslayer asks him again to plead. So, Loki does what he does best and denies all accountability for his actions.
“Guilty of being the God of Mischief? Yes. Guilty of finding all this incredibly tedious? Yes. Guilty of a crime against the sacred timeline? Absolutely not, you have the wrong person.”

In this second sneak peek for Loki, we are formally introduced to Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius, a dedicated member of the TVA. When Loki asks if he is taking him somewhere to kill him, Mobius assures the god he is taking him somewhere to talk.
Loki, in an attempt to invade further investigation, tells the agent he doesn’t enjoy talking. Mobius is quick to let Loki know he won’t be so easily outsmarted by trickery. “But you do like to lie, which you just did because we both know you love to talk.”
Mobius goes on to confirm time in the TVA passes differently and that he was created by the time-keepers with the obligation to protect the sacred timeline.
It is a concept that Loki, a god himself, finds hard to believe. “The idea that your little club decides the fate of trillions of people across all of existence at the behest of three space lizards. Yes, it’s funny, it’s absurd.”

It looks as though Loki has met his match with Mobius and it’s going to take more than mischief to pull a fast one on these keepers of time.
