Good Omens Renewed for Season 2
Neil Gaiman fans rejoice! A new season of Good Omens is set to begin production later this year, Amazon Prime announced earlier this week. Based on Gaiman’s first novel of the same name, co-written by Terry Pratchett, Good Omens was initially conceived as a limited series.
Amazon Prime announced Good Omens Season 2 is planned to consist of six episodes, with Michael Sheen and David Tennant reprising their roles as the angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley, respectively.
The series’ renewal comes over two years after Good Omens Season 1 premiered.

Good Omens Season 1 followed the hijinks of Aziraphale and Crowley, representatives for Heaven and Hell on Earth, as they tried to prevent the 11-year-old Antichrist from triggering Armageddon. The last we saw of them, the duo was toasting “to the world,” having succeeded on their quest.
Per BBC and Amazon’s announcement, Good Omens Season 2 “will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley.”
“Having been on Earth since The Beginning and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”

Good Omens Season 1 also featured an ensemble cast of Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Adria Arjona, Miranda Richardson, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, Mireille Enos, and Frances McDormand (as the voice of God). Early details for Good Omens Season 2 have not indicated any of their returns.
