The doctors are forced to examine the inadequacies of the birthing experience for Black women when two patients come in with unique cases on New Amsterdam Season 3 Episode 8, “Catch.”
One woman is insisting she is a virgin even though she is in labor. Another wants to give birth naturally despite the fact that she would be risking the baby’s life.
Bloom’s ER is overcrowded, which Dr. Reynolds may not have ever experienced before.
Plus, Dr. Sharpe and Dr. Kao have to rely on each other for support when telling a patient about a tragic diagnosis.
