A Million Little Things Review: Redefine (Season 3 Episode 11)
A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 11, “redefine,” is on a decent path again as many of our characters try to press the restart button on their lives.
The challenges they have are not new ones, and everyone basically has a long road ahead, but they are facing the realities they need to face in order to eventually get to a better place in life.
We know as well as Delilah and Maggie that Sophie going through with her MMI audition is not a good idea. Sophie even knows it. But Sophie giving into Gary’s desire for her to audition is a good creative choice for the story.

It is very annoying that Gary is making Sophie’s trauma so much about him, but it’s also understandable. Delilah trusted him with her kids, and as he tells Maggie, he let her down. It is not his fault that Peter is a preditor, but Gary’s logic is easy to follow.
Gary does give Peter intimate information about Sophie on A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 4, “The Talk.” It’s natural to feel bad about that.
Gary needs to watch Sophie bomb her audition to see the pain she is in. Encouraging Sophie to seize every opportunity she has and push past her trauma is not helping.
Postponing or applying next year are better choices than slamming your laptop shut in the middle of your audition. But sadly, what is done is done.
Even if Sophie knows that much, the audition disaster makes her realize how much she needs her mom. I have no idea how she gets a plane to Paris if Delilah cannot get a plane home when everyone is in the middle of a global pandemic, but Sophie needs to be with her mom.

The story matters more than reality here. Plus, Gary needs to deal with his own issues without projecting them onto Sophie.
Tyrell needs his mom, too. It’s so frustrating that he can’t just hop on a plane to be with her, but his dedication is commendable.
I’ve said before that fostering a teen is definitely not a new storyline on TV. But Rome and Regina fostering Tyrell is an interesting case study because they have so recently gone through the pain of a failed adoption involving a baby. Tyrell is a funny kid who will hopefully continue to act as the mouthpiece for the audience.
It’s absolutely ridiculous to end A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 10, “Trust Me,” with such mysterious vibes about who Flo is.

Thank goodness Tyrell just says she is his girlfriend out loud within the first few minutes of the episode. It allows us to get to the sweet part of Rome’s story with his dad faster.
Any son who would piece together old voicemail messages from his mom to send a message to his dad from beyond the grave is an absolute hero, and we hope Walter knows that.
But moving on from our hero we must talk about villains.
I love Katherine, and it is extremely frustrating that A Million Little Things continues to portray her in such a negative light.
During Season 1, she is the woman who works too much and ignores Eddie, justifying his affair. Now, she’s contemplating starting a full-blown affair with Alan while Eddie is injured and in drug rehab.

I don’t blame her, but I don’t trust A Million Little Things to do right by the character when it never has before. Theo already has deep anger toward his mom, and now Katherine is going deeper and deeper down a path of betrayal on her own.
A Million Little Things is a young show. Why is it repeating the same storyline within the same marriage on Season 3?
Katherine and Eddie’s vow renewal on A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 1, “Hit & Run,” is looking like a big waste of time right now.
A Million Little Thoughts
- Jackie interrupting Eddie’s family visit at rehab is so ridiculous.
