‘Pose’ to End With Season 3
  • It’s time for one last party, as trail-blazing FX drama Pose is set to end with its upcoming Season 3.
  • TVLine reports, the long-delayed season will premiere Sunday, May 2 at 10/9c, with the series finale currently scheduled for Sunday, June 6.
  • The final season consists of seven episodes and takes place in 1994 where “Ballroom feels like a distant memory for Blanca, who struggles to balance being a mother with being a present partner to her new love, and her latest role as a nurse’s aide. Meanwhile, as AIDS becomes the leading cause of death for Americans ages 25 to 44, Pray Tell contends with unexpected health burdens. Elsewhere, the emergence of a vicious new upstart house forces the House of Evangelista members to contend with their legacy.”
  • Pose was conceived as a love letter to the underground NY ballroom community, to my beloved New York, to my queer & trans family, to myself. I, along with my incredible collaborators, never intended on changing the TV landscape. I simply wanted to tell an honest story about family, resilience, and love,” said co-creator Steven Canals. “How fortunate am I to have done that for three seasons. I’m filled with gratitude to our intrepid writers, cast, crew, and producers who worked tirelessly to make Pose come to life, humbled by our loyal audience, thankful to the ballroom community who trusted us to tell their story, overwhelmed by the critics who warmly embraced us, and forever indebted to Ryan Murphy, FX, and 20th Television for changing my life
  • Pose Season 3 premieres on FX Sunday, May 2 at 10/9c.

  • Starz is planning to bring back one of its most popular originals, with the network in early development on a Party Down limited series revival, per Variety.
  • “At the end of 2019, the Party Down cast and producers were all reunited at a retrospective for the show hosted by Vulture. We had such a good time that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together again,” said executive producer Rob Thomas. “The cast is so busy these days that finding a window where we can do it may require trigonometry, but we’re determined to make it happen.”
  • The comedy is about a team of cater-waiters, who work various events around Los Angeles while pursuing careers in Hollywood. Every episode featured a different party, where shenanigans would always ensue.
  • The cast included TV favorites Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally.
  • “Before the cast of Party Down became well-known television and movie actors and award winners, they were all wearing the same pink bowties as part of a less than competent team of Los Angeles cater-waiters while chasing their dreams of stardom on the Starz series,” said Christina Davis, president of original programming, Starz. “Fans have been waiting more than 10 years for this revival to happen and we’re thrilled to be in development with Rob, Paul, Dan and John at the helm.”
