Throwback Thursday: ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,’ ‘Parenthood,’ ‘Vikings,’ and Patrick Brewer

How To Get Away With Murder, Parenthood, Schitt's Creek, Siren, The Flash, The Magicians, Throwback Thursday, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Welcome to March! This week, February 28-March 6, our Throwback Thursday will be focusing on some really fun premieres and TV moments.

Who can forget the moment David met Patrick for the first time? Their awkward meeting on Schitt’s Creek sparked what has now become one of TV’s most iconic couples.

We also can’t forget the highly important beginnings of influential shows such as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Parenthood. One taught us the importance of living life to the fullest, while the other taught us the importance of family.

Fasten your seatbelts…it’s going to be a bumpy ride through TV history.

Major TV Moments:
Chris Meloni and Lee Tergesen Reunite (Law & Order: SVU Season 11 Episode 14, “Savior”) (March 3, 2010)

chris meloni lee tergesen svu

The show Law & Order: SVU is well known for its memorable guest stars. Back in the 11th Season, it reunited Chris Meloni (Stabler) with his Oz co-star, Lee Tergesen.

This is a memorable moment for fans of both shows considering on Oz the two men played on-again, off-again lovers. Fans hadn’t seen them share a screen in 7 years so it was fun to watch Meloni drill into Tergesen as a suspect on their current SVU case.

Tergesen brings his A-game and matches Meloni moment for moment. In fact, he gives a performance that is so impactful it makes him one of the best guest stars the show has ever boasted — even if he’s not one of the most famous.

Wes Finds Out the Truth About His Mom (How To Get Away With Murder Season 2 Episode 13, “Something Bad Happened”) (March 3, 2016)

Wes HTGAWM

One of the biggest mysteries for How To Get Away With Murder‘s first couple of seasons was the story of Wes. He just appears one day, fresh off the waitlist and Annalise seems to already know him. Why? How?

The big story during Season 2 was Wes searching for the truth about what happened to his mother, Rose. He knows that she died but he doesn’t know how.

“Something Bad Happened” brings all the pieces together when he discovers that she died as a result of Annalise’s involvement in a court case she was encouraged to participate in.

It really drives home just how much guilt Annalise feels about Wes and how much she has grown to care for him.

“Patrick, B13!” (Schitt’s Creek Season 3 Episode 8, “Motel Review”) (February 28, 2017)

Patrick Brewer Schitts Creek

When Ray utters those now infamous words, “Patrick, B13!” fans were not prepared for who was about to enter our lives. With the introduction of Patrick Brewer came the slow build-up of love between David and this newcomer.

We had no idea that Patrick was about to swoop in and help David get his business off the ground, while also showing him that he deserves a love that is genuine and pure.

Patrick is one of those characters whose introduction alters the course of the show entirely. When he comes to Schitt’s Creek, Patrick shows everyone exactly what this town was missing all along.
