Legacies Review: To Whom It May Concern (Season 3 Episode 6)
Alaric and what’s left of the school must give a tour to potential new students on Legacies Season 3 Episode 6, “To Whom It May Concern.” Meanwhile, Josie is having a stellar first day at Mystic Falls High and taking time to enjoy herself.
After the showdown of a lifetime at the Salvatore school, most of the students have unenrolled, leaving the Salvatore school in quite a predicament. Alaric recruiting his students to help him in the battle against the necromancer is the last straw for the poor parents who only wanted their kids to have a decent supernatural education.
“To Whom It May Concern” is a nice change of flow from the normal for Legacies as we see Alaric do something he hasn’t done in a minute: care about the school and other students who attend.
It’s a rude awakening for Alaric because he has been habitually slacking on the job as the headmaster, and now he has to face the consequences. If he had been more focused on the school, he would’ve noticed the parents’ letter sooner and may have been able to avoid this awkward interaction.

Without teachers, how does one expect to run a school? How does one entice a student to stay at a school with no teachers? Alaric is proactive and is able to muster up thirty students by calling parents, but in reality, the students are the heroes of the day, like always.
Even though Hope’s abilities have been out of control, and she ends up blasting the potential students unconscious, she’s still the reason that Cleo decides to stick around. Based on a first glance, my opinion on Cleo is that she’s someone who will fit in well with the school, and it’s clear that she and Hope have already made a connection. She seems like a gentle person.
While Lizzie is trying her best to get through the day without Josie, she’s just not succeeding, but Wade swoops in to save the day for the school. Gaby only decides to stay at the school because she and Wade found out they’ve been DND buddies for years and never knew.

I think that Gaby will be a good fit for the school as well because she doesn’t care how others view her, and she adds a nice flare of comedy.
I understand that Lizzie is going through it at the moment, but it’s an entertaining and satisfying moment to see MG turn her down on his own accord. He is right; Lizzie is stuck in a rotation of wanting him to be there when she’s hurting to wanting him gone when she’s happy and focusing on other people. It’s time that she searches for what makes HER happy and stops relying on others for joy.
Only time can tell when it comes to the safety of Landon Kirby. After being stuck in Malivore wandering around aimlessly in the dark, he somehow pops into the necromancer’s version of hell.
I don’t understand why Landon thought him trusting the necromancer was going to be a good thing? Time and time again, the necromancer has shown his true colors, so the thought of Landon breaking him out in a matter of minutes doesn’t sit right with me.

Now that Landon has escaped Malivore, it’s unknown whether he’s back in the prison world where the real malivore is currently being held or an alternate reality. Either way, he’s not getting home anytime soon.
I’m excited to see Josie interact more at Mystic Falls High because her flirtatious relationship with Finch is adorable. It’s nice to see her really enjoy herself and not be worried about anyone but herself.
However, as much as I love seeing Josie happy, I enjoy the small moment Josie reads the letter from Lizzie telling her not to worry about them. I enjoy it because I resonate with that feeling and have been there myself. That moment where you’re so happy for the first time that you genuinely forget the troubles of others until you’re reminded.
With Dorian as the new principal of Mystic Falls High, I’m even more intrigued to get to explore that side of the show. I’m willing to bet we can go for two weeks of Josie being at a human school before the supernatural world starts picking it apart.
