It’s the end of an era on Riverdale Season 5 Episode 3, ” Chapter Seventy-Nine: Graduation,” as our time at Riverdale High comes to a close and our heroes move on to what’s next. This episode brings everyone home while also setting up some pretty heartbreaking goodbyes.
Riverdale will be changed forever after “Chapter Seventy-Nine: Graduation” scatters the core four across the country, leaving this little town in uncertainty until they return several years later.
The photos and promo videos for this episode show a range of emotions in this episode as the residents of Riverdale celebrate this milestone.
On Riverdale Season 5 Episode 2, “Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Preppy Murders,” tragedy struck the Cooper-Jones household as half their offspring turned out to be absolutely insane. With the knowledge that Skeet Ulrich is leaving the show after this episode, it’s pretty safe to say we’ll see his farewell after Graduation.
Between his leave of absence and the revelation that Charles is a serial killer, it looks like Alice Cooper is going through it once again.
It also looks like Archie gets to graduate with his classmates, or at the very least he changes his mind about walking with them. Archie’s outlook on the future is unclear but for some reason, I think he’s going to be the most put-together of the core four on the other side of that time jump.
Cheryl and Toni appear to be in high spirits as they look towards life after Riverdale High, and with the chaos of their lives I’ve gotta say they deserve it as much as anyone.
Will this episode be the end of Bughead? Who’s Veronica sleeping with in that promo? What does Jellybean’s detour into terrorizing the town mean for the rest of her family? What are your hopes for the end of this chapter in Riverdale history? Let me know in the comments below!
