This week’s picks include the return of Desus & Mero, Firefly Lane’s debut, Legacies presents Salvatore: The Musical, and more.

The Long Song – Sunday, January 31

Viewers follow July, a young woman who was born a slave on a sugar plantation in Jamaica in the 19th century, as she grows and learns about the world around her. The Long Song debuts Sunday, January 31 at 10/9c on PBS.
Episode Description: July is born to a field slave at the Amity sugar cane plantation, run by John and his younger sister Caroline. On a spoilt whim, Caroline decides she wants to train the adorable July as her personal maid, so she is taken from her mother and forced to live in the great house. As July grows into a teenager, she learns how to handle her mistress, with her own small victories along the way.
Desus & Mero – Sunday, January 31
The Bronx boys are back with a new set of guests, a fresh look, and a whole lot to talk about. Desus & Mero returns for a new season Sunday, January 31 at 11/10c on Showtime.

A new set of comedians is ready to show off their comedic chops. Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready returns Tuesday, February 2 on Netflix.
Description: Comedian and Girl’s Trip breakout star Tiffany Haddish introduces the world to six of her favorite comedians in Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready — a bold new collection of hilarious half-hour stand-up comedy specials. Hosted and executive produced by Haddish and She Ready Productions, the special features a diverse group of comedians with whom she shares a personal history, including Chaunté Wayans (Wild n’ Out), April Macie (Last Comic Standing), Tracey Ashley (The Last O.G.), Aida Rodriguez (Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar), Flame Monroe (Def Comedy Jam), and Marlo Williams (BET’s Comicview).
Fake Famous – Tuesday, February 2

HBO brings viewers another documentary, this time about the fabrications and illusions that make up the lives of influencers. Fake Famous debuts Tuesday, February 2 at 9/8c on HBO.
Description: Fake Famous explores the meaning of fame and influence in the digital age through an innovative social experiment. Following three Los Angeles-based people with relatively small followings, the film explores the attempts made to turn them into famous influencers by purchasing fake followers and bots to “engage” with their social media accounts.
Trickster – Tuesday, February 2

In the aftermath of learning the truth about his parents, Jared tries to grapple with it all while dealing with the new world that’s been revealed to him. Trickster airs Tuesday, February 2 at 9/8c on The CW.
Episode Description: Reeling from the discovery about his parents, Jared’s (Joel Oulette) world is further shaken when Wade (Kalani Queypo) warns him that he’s in danger from Georgina (Gail Maurice), because Jared may also be a Trickster.
Firefly Lane Season 1 – Wednesday, February 3

Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke co-star in this dramedy that follows the lives of two friends as they grow up and apart, spanning decades. Firefly Lane Season 1 drops Wednesday, February 3 on Netflix.
Season Description: Based on the New York Times Bestselling book, Firefly Lane is the sweeping story of two inseparable best friends and their enduring, complicated bond, spanning four tumultuous decades.
Legacies – Thursday, February 4
It’s time for Salvatore: The Musical! Legacies is looking back to the founding of the Salvatore School and allowing us to reminisce on all the fun, mayhem, and love triangles of The Vampire Diaries. Legacies airs Thursday, February 4 at 9/8c ton The CW.
Episode description: The students prepare to put on a musical about the founding of the Salvatore School at the behest of their mysterious new guidance counselor. Meanwhile, as Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) throws himself into writing the musical and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Kaleb (Chris Lee) and Jed (Ben Levin) dive into their roles, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) distances herself from the musical.
Malcolm & Marie – Friday, February 5

Zendaya and John David Washington co-star in this romantic drama that follows a couple after a night out as they come to certain realizations in the aftermath of revelations uncovered. Malcolm & Marie debuts Friday, February 5 on Netflix.
Movie Description: Sam Levinson teams up with Zendaya and John David Washington for an achingly romantic drama in which a filmmaker (Washington) and his girlfriend (Zendaya) return home following a celebratory movie premiere as he awaits what’s sure to be imminent critical and financial success. The evening suddenly takes a turn as revelations about their relationships begin to surface, testing the strength of their love. Earwig and the Witch – Friday, February 5

A little girl’s life is turned around when she uncovers a magical world that lies beyond the world of her own in a new Studio Ghibli film. Earwig and the Witch debuts Friday, February 5 on HBO Max.
Movie Description: A headstrong orphan discovers a world of spells and potions while living with a selfish witch.
