Previously on Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 8, “The Sanctuary,” Michael’s new partner-in-everything Book had to rush home to save his family and planet. Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 9, “Terra Firma, Part I,” sees the mirror version of Georgiou continue to suffer as illness ravages her body.
With only a sliver of hope left, this episode will see two venture to save her, even despite her unwillingness to be saved. Meanwhile, on the ship, Adira cracks the code that leads to a surprisingly emotional discovery about the ship stranded in The Burn.

Episode description: The U.S.S. Discovery crew journey to a mysterious planet in hopes of finding a cure for Georgiou’s deteriorating condition. Stamets and Adira make a stunning breakthrough with the newly acquired Burn data.
