Get ready to go back to Bayside! The highly anticipated new Saved by the Bellseries premieres Wednesday, November 25th on Peacock.
The new Saved by the Bell, which is being referred to as a “reimagining” rather than a reboot, includes most of the original cast from the iconic series. It stars Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez, reprising their roles as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Theissen, and Lark Voorhies have all been confirmed to appear as well.
John Michael Higgins also stars as Principal Toddman alongside the new class featuring Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Josie Totah, and Haskiri Velazquez.
The premise? Zack Morris is now the governor of California, and he finds himself in hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools. To solve the problem, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state — including Bayside High.
The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids a much-needed dose of reality.
