Nordic Noir has been a thing in TV for more than a decade — The Bridge being one of the most notable — but it’s not until recently that Netflix has released their own Swedish original series.

Netflix’s latest Swedish series is Love & Anarchy, a romantic comedy of sorts from writer and director Lisa Langseth, that features an unexpected flirting game with surprisingly high stakes.

On Love & Anarchy, Ida Engvoll takes on the lead role of Sofie, a business consultant, married with children, living a busy inner-city life in Stockholm. You may recognize Engvoll from another popular Swedish series, The Restaraunt.

Series description: The eight-part series features Sofie, a career-driven consultant and married mother of two. When Sofie gets an assignment to modernize an old publishing house she meets young IT tech Max, and an unexpected flirting game begins. Sofie and Max secretly challenge each other to do things that question modern-day life. It starts innocently enough, but as the game gets more and more daring the consequences grow beyond proportions.
