What to Watch on TV: Enola Holmes, The Great British Baking Show, Agents of Chaos
Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of September 20th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.
This week’s picks include The Great British Baking Show’s return, Filthy Rich’s debut, and more.

Lovecraft Country – Sunday, September 20

This episode leads to more insight into Atticus’ time in the war as we learn about a familiar face from his past. Lovecraft Country airs Sunday, September 20 at 9/8c on HBO.

Bang – Monday, September 21

A new season of the BAFTA-winning series is back and ready to tackle power and how it affects the search for justice. Bang returns Monday, September 21 on Acorn.
Season Description: The “Best Television Drama” winner at the 2018 BAFTA Cymru Awards–returns to the South Wales steel town of Port Talbot for a riveting new series. In this captivating second season of this drama from the producers of Netflix/BBC drama The Fall, ambitious police officer Gina Jenkins (Catrin Stewart, Doctor Who, Stella) and her longtime partner, Luke Lloyd (Jack Parry-Jones, Moon Dogs) attempt to solve a series of murders by a serial killer targeting the men named in a rape case from 10 years ago. It never went to trial, so the men were never brought to justice. The two detectives attempt to uncover the reasons why the killer would want to punish a gang of friends a decade after their terrible crime. Also, Gina’s younger troubled brother, Sam (Jacob Ifan, HInterland, Cuffs) is released from prison after last season’s marathon crime spree and is determined to stay out of trouble, but it looks like things are not going according to plan.
Filthy Rich – Monday, September 21

Fox brings viewers a new family drama that centers on the lives of a wealthy family that made their money by creating a Christian network. Upon the death of the matriarch, they discover that he fathered 3 other children they soon discover. Filthy Rich debuts Monday, September 21 at 9/8c on Fox.
Episode Description: The unknown heirs of a wealthy businessman hatch a plan to get a piece of his fortune.
Kal Penn Approves This Message – Tuesday, September 22
Kal Penn is offering insight and information on a variety of topics from voting to climate change. Kal Penn Approves This Message debuts Tuesday, September 22 at 10:30/9:30c on Freeform.
Series Description: An unscripted comedy series that explores issues relevant to Millennial and GenZ voters. With topics ranging from voting basics to voter empowerment, the economy to climate change, the series breaks down key issues young voters are passionate about, and arms them with the tools they need to make an impact and vote.
Agents of Chaos – Wednesday, September 23
For a more informative, heavier look at a topic that has deeply changed the core of discourse these last few years, HBO offers another documentary that takes a look at Russia’s role in US politics. Agents of Chaos debuts Wednesday, September 23 at 9/8c on HBO.
Description: Agents of Chaos, a two-part documentary from director Alex Gibney examines Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Featuring interviews with key players and experts, classified information leaked by inside sources, and more, the film disentangles the complex details of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and highlights the frightening vulnerabilities in America’s political process.
Enola Holmes – Wednesday, September 23

Enola’s life is turned upside down on her 16th birthday when her mother disappears, which brings her very famous brothers — Sherlock and Mycroft — about. But when she decides to take matters into her own hands in order to find her mother. Enola Holmes premieres Wednesday, September 23 on Netflix.

Star Trek: Discovery – Thursday, September 24

If you haven’t been able to catch the series on CBS All Access, now is your chance to catch the travels and tribulations of a new intergalactic crew. Star Trek: Discovery makes its broadcast premiere Thursday, September 24 at 10/9c on CBS.

Secret Society of Second Born Royals – Friday, September 25

Royal younger siblings learn a shocking secret about themselves and a secret society that helps protect the kingdom. Secret Society of Second Born Royals debuts Friday, September 25 on Disney+.

The Great British Baking Show – Friday, September 25
American fans of the British baking sensation are in for a treat as the series that has been a bright spot to many during tough times will be back with weekly episodes following a new group of bakers with a few COVID modifications. The Great British Baking Show premieres Friday, September 25 on Netflix.
