Tatiana Maslany Cast as Lead in Disney+ ‘She-Hulk’ Series

News, Orphan Black, Perry Mason

Tatiana Maslany is ready to smash the lead role in the Disney+ Marvel series She-Hulk.

As first reported by Deadline, the actress will play lawyer Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner/The Hulk. After she is shot, Jennifer receives a blood transfusion from Bruce, which also passes on his powers.

Unlike her cousin, Jennifer retains her personality and intelligence as She-Hulk. She possesses super strength, speed, and durability.

Maslany is no stranger to dual roles, as she’s most well known from her Emmy award-winning work on Orphan Black. The show featured the actress portraying multiple clones.

Earlier this year, she was seen as Sister Alice in Perry Mason Season 1.

She-Hulk was first announced at the D23 Expo in August 2019, but with current production schedules up in the air, there’s no word on when filming will begin.

The series is connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Mark Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner/The Hulk.

Of course, Marvel’s famous secrecy means we have no idea whether he will appear, or what the story of the series will be.

She-Hulk is one of several MCU series set to air on Disney+ as part of phase four of the franchise. The streaming service has also announced The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight.
