Preview — Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Episode 7: The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and the D
After a high-stakes episode leaves multiple characters dead, including Mack’s parents, the team will have no choice but to regroup.
For two of our finest agents, that won’t be so easy. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Episode 7, “The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and the D,” strands Deke and Director Mack in 1982 without a rescue team or a newly reincarcerated Coulson in sight.
It’s hard to say how long Mack and Deke will be stuck in the eighties before the Zeuphra can come back for them, but Mack’s fierce-looking beard does suggest some time will pass before everyone can be reunited again.
And maybe this time-out is for the best given that Mack is still very much mourning the loss of his parents and the possible timeline implications that could follow for him.
Deke, on the other hand, will be taking this time of reflection to recruit a new wave of agents — ones capable of stopping these killer robots in their tracks.
But he may have overestimated his skills as a teacher because this ragtag group will need more than tough love to solidify themselves in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s history books.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D continues to play with the fabric of this agency in fun new ways. So expect nothing less from this chaotic side adventure as Mack and Deke are left fully to their own devices.
And who knows, with Coulson M.I.A. we could just find ourselves embracing these new recruits with open arms.

Episode description: After being unexpectedly stranded in 1982, Mack retreats to his childhood home to process the death of his parents, while Deke gets to work scouting a chart-topping group of new agents. With no idea if or when the team is coming back for them, time seems to finally be on their side … at least until the killer robots show up.
