‘Money Heist’ Renewed for Fifth and Final Season at Netflix
International sensation Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) has been renewed for a fifth and final season at Netflix.
The binge-worthy crime drama blew up last year after being picked up by Netflix for the show’s third installment. The series follows a ragtag group of thieves who plan to pull off the greatest heist in history by robbing the Royal Mint of Spain.

Over it’s run, the show has evolved from a compelling game of cat and mouse, into an all-out war for the people. Showrunner Alex Pina said that this evolution has led to Season 5 being “the most epic of all the parts we’ve shot.”
A brilliant mix of mystery, high stakes drama and even higher emotional stakes, La Casa De Papel should be your next quarantine binge.
The series stars Alvaro Morte as the unassuming mastermind, with Itziar Ituño and Úrsula Corberó as his even more dynamic counterparts, as well as a powerful ensemble cast. The final installment adds Patrick Criado and Sense 8 alum Miguel Ángel Silvestre.

Filming for “Part 5” begins on Monday, August 3rd in Demark and will later move into Spain and Portugal. The final season will likely air on Netflix in 2021.
