Hightown Renewed for Second Season at Starz
If you’ve been loving the Starz original series Hightown, starring Monica Raymund, we’ve got good news.
The network announced today that in addition to setting a new record for series premiere viewership across STARZ OTT platforms globally, Hightown has been renewed for a second season.
“Rebecca [Cutter], Gary [Lennon] and Jerry [Bruckheimer] delivered an elevated and well-executed drama that embodies all the hallmarks of a STARZ premium series with its dynamic, edgy storytelling, multicultural cast and female leadership both in front of and behind the camera,” said Christina Davis, president of original programming. “Audiences are already deeply engaged with these flawed and complex characters and in a second season we will continue to dive deeper into the relationships between them amidst the shifting tides on the Cape.”
Hightown follows Jackie Quiñones (Raymund), a National Marine Fisheries Agent who lives to party and has mastered picking up women by flaunting her gun and badge. We get the chance to see her journey to sobriety, intertwined with an unfolding murder investigation.
The series is created and executive produced by Rebecca Cutter with Gary Lennon executive producing with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, and KristieAnne Reed from Jerry Bruckheimer TV. Ellen H. Schwartz also serves as executive producer.
Along with Monica Raymund, the series also stars James Badge Dale, Riley Voelkel, Shane Harper, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond, and Dohn Norwood.
