Karen literally charges Max with turning the opioid epidemic around on New Amsterdam Season 2 Episode 15, “Double Blind.”
If anyone can do that, it’s Max; he’s at least going to try very hard. But how hard is too hard?
His solution involves closing down the emergency department. So naturally, he’s going to get some pushback from his staff, especially Lauren.
Helen also prepares to go to extremes to prove a point.
