It’s an ode to the teen slasher movies on Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 4, “Slay Anything.” The Legends are getting gussied up for prom as they go back to the ’80s to stop Astra’s newest Encore, a serial killer with a grudge to settle.
We can expect Ava to be particularly excited about this mission. As we we learned on Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Episode 7, “Hell No, Dolly!,” she is more than a bit of true crime geek with an almost scary amount of knowledge about the history of serial killers.
“Slay Anything” will also thankfully bring Charlie and Nora, who have been mostly absent for the first couple episodes of Season 5, back into the mix when Constantine discovers Charlie squatting at his house, and Nora joins the team at prom.
It will be especially nice to have Nora back since Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford’s exit from the show this season means our time with both of them is limited.

Episode description: When the Legends discover a new Encore, Sara, Rory and Ava end up crashing a high school reunion to attempt to stop a serial killer from finishing unfinished business. The Legends devise a plan to send Nate, Ray, Nora, Behrad and their hostage Zari, back in time to try and intervene in order to try to save everyone including them. Meanwhile, Constantine is annoyed that Charlie has been squatting in his old home, but it might be the blessing in disguise they were not looking for.
