Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of January 12th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from new specials to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to.

Sanditon – Sunday, January 12

Jane Austen’s final work, that was never completed, gets the adaptation treatment starring Rose Williams and Theo James. It follows the lives of the citizens of a resort town. Sanditon makes its stateside debut Sunday, January 12th at 9/8c on PBS.

Arrow – Tuesday, January 14

After a month away, the “Crisis” returns for its thrilling conclusion. How will Oliver as Spectre save the heroes from the Anti-Monitor? Arrow returns Tuesday, January 14th at 8/7c on The CW.
Episode Description: Stuck in the Vanishing Point, the Paragons search for a way to escape. The futility of the situation is compounded by The Flash’s (guest star Grant Gustin) disappearance. However, hope appears in the form of Oliver (Stephen Amell), who reveals that he has become something else. Meanwhile, the origin stories for The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett) and Anti-Monitor are revealed.
Legends of Tomorrow – Tuesday, January 14

The Legends begin their new season as a bookend to “Crisis,” giving viewers a glimpse at how the Arrowverse will be forever changed (or not). Legends of Tomorrow returns Tuesday, January 14th at 9/8c on The CW.

Good Trouble – Wednesday, January 15

Callie, Mariana, and company are back and dealing with new legal troubles, workplace fallout, and clapback strategies. Good Trouble returns Wednesday, January 15th at 10/9c on Freeform.
Episode Description: When Malika gets in legal trouble, Callie goes to an old friend for help; Mariana deals with the fallout from the arrival of the fixer at Speckulate; Gael helps Davia with a clapback video; Alice finds herself in the middle of a love triangle.
The Magicians – Wednesday, January 15

The group is dealing with the aftermath of the season finale, including Quentin’s death. How will they all cope? The Magicians returns Wednesday, January 15 at 10/9c on Syfy.
Episode Description: Penny and Julia go stargazing; Eliot and Margo forget a sandwich.
Superstore – Thursday, January 16

The NBC comedy pays tribute to a late, beloved member of the Cloud 9 crew, Myrtle, while also introducing viewers to Dina’s father. Superstore airs Thursday, January 16 at 8/7c on NBC.
Episode Description: The employees wrestle with the loss of beloved co-worker Myrtle — and the fact that she left a large sum of money to Jonah; Cheyenne recruits Mateo in a possible pyramid scheme; Dina reconnects with a surprise visitor in the store: her father.
Grown-ish – Thursday, January 16

Everything is as it ever was as junior year dawns on the group and decisions have to be made. Grown-ish returns Thursday, January 16 at 8/7c on Freeform.
Episode Description: It’s Junior year, and the gang throws a HBCU-themed Homecoming party to kick off the semester; Zoey returns from her summer abroad and realizes that she has to quickly confront her feelings for Aaron and Luca.
Everything’s Gonna Be Okay – Thursday, January 16

Nicholas’ life changes drastically in the face of a huge loss in his family that leaves him in charge of his half-siblings. How will they make it work? Everything’s Gonna Be Okay debuts Thursday, January 16 at 9/8c on Freeform.
Episode Description: Nicholas’ single dad has very bad cancer and he’s going to die, soon; so Nicholas offers himself up to be the guardian for his two teenage half-sisters. Nicholas wishes he could call an adult; after the death of their father, Nicholas, Matilda, and Genevieve struggle to return to their daily – and nightly – routines; navigating the stay-at-home parent life is harder than Nicholas thought.
Sex Education – Friday, January 17

The Moordale crew is back and dealing with new steps in their relationships, a Chlamydia outbreak at school, and growing up. Sex Education returns Friday, January 17 on Netflix.
Episode Description: In season 2, as a late bloomer Otis must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve. Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a Chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo.
Troop Zero – Friday, January 17

Amazon Prime’s latest distributed film tells the story of a young girl who loves all things space and is determined to get her voice recorded on the NASA Golden Record. Her chance comes with the local scouts. Troop Zero drops Friday, January 17 on Prime Video.
Episode Description: In rural 1977 Georgia, a misfit girl (Mckenna Grace) dreams of life in outer space. When a national competition offers her a chance at her dream, to be recorded on NASA’s Golden Record, she recruits a makeshift troop of Birdie Scouts, forging friendships that last a lifetime and beyond.
