Legacies Review: This Is Why We Don’t Entrust Plans to Muppet Babies (Season 2 Episode 10)

Legacies, Reviews

Things get heated when the necromancer sends a Qareen to feed off of the insecurities of the kids in the school and stir up drama, Alaric does some digging to find out who Sebastian truly is, and an unlikely face becomes the hero of the day on Legacies Season 2 Episode 10, “This Is Why We Don’t Entrust Plans to Muppet Babies.”

Villains can show up out of nowhere or can be the people you interact with daily, which is the case when it comes to Alyssa Chang. She’s been at the school since a child, her hatred for Josie and Lizzie growing day by day every day since. Obviously, the monster has a play in how the hatred in her comes out, but deep down it’s been there for a while.

I will give Alyssa a round of applause, though, for how smoothly she enchants the Ascendant in the group casting without being noticed by anyone. However, now that she’s sent Alaric, Lizzie, and Josie to the prison world the girls created when they were children I hope that Hope takes out her frustrations on her.

It’s bad enough if the spell that was used kept them all trapped even for a week, but now there’s no way for them to be returned at ease. Also, the prison world, thanks to Alaric, is running around with students who turned out to be too much trouble and had to be sent away, according to Alaric.

This secret is big enough to change how Josie and Lizzie view him, but now that Lizzie has seen Sebastian in the prison world she knows that he’s a liar and I feel like she could turn on him. As if there isn’t enough drama between the four of them, they also have to be on the lookout for deranged ex-students, and Kai Parker.

If you tuned into The Vampire Diaries then you’re familiar with Kai and just how much trouble he can cause when he wants to. Alaric and him being in the same room together is a situation that needs to be avoided at all costs if Alaric wants to live to see another day.

I don’t necessarily blame Alaric for sending Sebastian away based on who he is and how he’s been lying to everybody at the school, including Lizzie. But, instead of saying that Sebastian left town and didn’t want to stay Alaric should have told Lizzie about why he “made him leave.”

With all the creatures and lore Legacies has explored I hope that we learn more and more about Wade and what it’s like to be a fairy. I want to know more about what Wade can do as a fairy now that everyone believes in him after defeating the monster and saving the day.

Another thing that I love, an underdog. Wade doesn’t fit in anywhere at the school and doesn’t have many friends, but that doesn’t stop him from continuing to try and convince people that he’s a fairy and can help.

If it isn’t for Landon attacking the monster while vulnerable to prove that he believes in Wade things could’ve gone a lot different. As the hero of the day I hope that people will try to include Wade more and begin to friend him; not only because he deserves to have friends in his life, but also because I want to see him be the hero again and use his fairy powers.
