John Mulaney is returning to Netflix with a new special! This time, he’s featuring a group of children and a few special guests. John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch drops Tuesday, December 24 on Netflix.
Description: I’m John Mulaney and I am a 37 year old man. The Sack Lunch Bunch is a group of children ages 8-13 who are more talented than me. In this special, we are joined by celebrity guests like David Byrne, Tony Award Winner Andre De Shields, Natasha Lyonne, Annaleigh Ashford, Richard Kind, and Jake Gyllenhaal from the movie Zodiac. The result is a collage of Broadway caliber showstoppers, comedy sketches for all ages, meditations on the unknown from children and adults, and a papier mache volcano.It’s funny, musical, joyous, anxious, and surprisingly profound.
White Christmas – Tuesday, December 24
Sundance is giving a beloved Christmas movie the marathon treatment starting Christmas Eve. White Christmas marathon begins Tuesday, December 24 at 8 a.m. on Sundance.
Description: Singers Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) join sister act Betty (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen) to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly (Dean Jagger), the boys’ commander in World War II, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing. So what’s the foursome to do but plan a yuletide miracle: a fun-filled musical extravaganza that’s sure to put Waverly and his business in the black!

The annual tradition returns for another 24 hours of iconic scenes and props (the return of the leg lamp). 24 hours of A Christmas Story begins Tuesday, December 24 at 9/8c on TNT and continues on into Christmas day.

Call the Midwife Holiday Special – Wednesday, December 25

Christmas is approaching and new medical emergencies arise in this holiday special. Call the Midwife Holiday Special airs Wednesday, December 25 at 9/8c on PBS.
Episode Description: As Christmas approaches, a bout of influenza sweeps through both Nonnatus House and the Turner family. When Mother Mildred declares that God is calling her to set up a branch house in the Outer Hebrides, it seems an ideal opportunity for the nuns and midwives to convalesce in the bracing, Scottish fresh air. As they recover, they will also be able to help the island where there is a nursing and doctor shortage. Much to Violet’s frustration, Mother Mildred enlists Fred to drive them all. Sister Monica Joan associates the Outer Hebrides with St Eustace’s White Stag, a symbol of Christ and is thrilled at the idea of travelling there.
