Preview — Stumptown Season 1 Episode 9: Dex Education
Things are about to get awkward on Stumptown Season 1 Episode 9, “Dex Education.”
Stumptown Season 1 Episode 8, “The Other Woman” ended with Dex waking up in bed with Grey’s girlfriend after a night of gambling. Now, heading into the midseason finale, it’s the morning after and Dex is going to have to deal with the repercussions of her night with Liz.
Learning that Dex slept with Liz will be devastating for Grey and put more pressure on their already strained friendship. But, how much damage it does will likely depend on how he finds out and how both Dex and Liz handle things when he does.
Also, given the history of bisexual cheating tropes and some of the harmful stereotypes that come from that, the writers will, hopefully, handle this story with sensitivity and avoid falling into lazy cliches.
While the fall out from the events of “The Other Woman” inch closer to being revealed, Dex is also on the case again with another client from her past. It will be interesting to see what this newest blast from Dex’s past reveals about her and how it might parallel or intersect with the current drama in her life.
Episode description: Dex goes undercover as a high school substitute teacher after an old classmate of hers enlists her help to find out who planted drugs on her daughter. Meanwhile, Dex and Liz’s relationship gets too close for comfort
