Legacies Review: That’s Nothing I Had to Remember (Season 2 Episode 6)
Kaleb’s sister pays a visit to the Salvatore school for commonwealth day, Lizzie and Hope work together to defeat a truth-seeking monster, and Josie pays a visit to Freya in New Orleans on Legacies Season 2 Episode 6, “That’s Nothing I Had to Remember.”
After last week’s episode, it’s clear that Lizzie isn’t the only one who remembered Hope, or at least a distant thought of her when Josie shows up at Freya’s door asking for help with black magic. Josie’s life has changed significantly since everyone forgot Hope so I understand her struggle to not want to willingly change everything and not know what the outcome could be.
Josie knows her relationship with Landon could potentially be over if she restores Hope to everyone’s memories and that has to hurt seeing how close she and Landon have become. She was willing to lose her virginity to him and it’s a good thing that she found the love song he wrote for Hope before anything big happened.

I am relieved that Josie does show up and defeat the monster, relieving the memory of Hope instead of completely wiping her from existence because the way she attacks Freya proves that she has the thought in the back of her mind. I can’t say that I blame her since she doesn’t know anything about Hope other than she has the ability to steal her man.
Most of the people who finally remember who Hope is are happy to have her back, but Landon is beyond upset with her, rightfully so. At the moment the only thing to grasp from everything is that Hope was living her life knowing that none of them could remember her and still didn’t say anything. They’re offended and hurt because how could someone who supposedly loved them look them in the eyes every day and pretend to not know them?

Everything is difficult for Landon now because all of his feelings for Josie are still there, but all his memories of Hope are back so he’s at a crossroads. Leaving Josie for Hope isn’t that simple of a decision to make and it shouldn’t be. Landon should take a hot minute to figure out what he truly wants because either way, someone is going to get hurt.
I wouldn’t have been super happy, but part of me is intrigued at the thought of how everything would have gone down if Josie had made the choice to permanently wipe Hope away.

Alaric and the deputy have the potential to be a cute couple, but I still think that there’s something off with her. I know that Kaleb uses his compulsion to erase her memory after Alaric tells her about vampires and zombies, but I think she could be faking it. Nobody in higher power in Mystic Falls is completely free of vervain or being on the verge of knowing the truth.
I hope that we get to see the conversation that goes down between MG and Lizzie instead of only getting the aftermath because if I were Lizzie I’d lose my mind a tad bit if someone made me think I was having a psychotic break. The truth should’ve come out faster than it does and all of that is on MG.
