Emily Bett Rickards Set to Return for ‘Arrow’ Series Finale
As the final episode of Arrow begins production, news of returning cast members is rolling out and the first announcement is a big one.
Emily Bett Rickards will be returning to reprise her role as Felicity Smoak for the final episode of the series. Stephen Amell confirmed the return via Twitter on Friday afternoon.
“There’ll be a lot of news coming out about our final episode over the next few months. I prefer when you hear it from us. Welcome back Emily,” he said.

Rickards announced her departure of the show as a series regular earlier this year.

Fans had to say goodbye to the Arrow‘s resident tech genius and OTA member during the Season 7 finale, “You Have Saved This City,” after having helped restore some level of safety in 2040 alongside her children.
With the city in the hands of Future Team Arrow, Felicity leaves, saying goodbye to her children and walking into a portal with The Monitor, ready to presumably see Oliver again after 20 years apart.

With Rickards’ return set and no idea of what “Crisis on Infinite Earths” does to everything we’ve seen so far, the question becomes how will Felicity’s return be explained? Will there be a Queen-Smoak family reunion? Will there be an OTA reunion in store?
Only time will tell!

Arrow airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
